Theodore B. Wilcox Memorial Hospital

Today it seems an anachronism, this 1920s building in the midst of the modern Good Samaritan campus. But this building was named after a man who was considered "one of Portland's first great industrialists, one of the first to systematically develop a market for American products in China, and a leading factor in the early expansion of transpacific steamship service."

  3. I, too, was born there in 1945. My dad never returned after WWII. My mother subsequently married his brother. But some day I hope to see him in the next life.

  9. I just started working in this building, I'm from a big city in the Midwest and fond of old buildings. Would definitely like to see old pictures! As I currently live and breathe in this old gem.
